Mad Max is anything but mad these days! Originally found outside, he seems to have not had a lot of experience with humans or indoor living; but once he got a taste he never wants to go back outside on his own again. So he is looking for a forever home who will love, respect, and cherish him like his foster parents do!
Max came a long way in just a few months. He is still scared of new people, but he loves his foster mom and dad. The ways to his heart are head and especially chin scratches, he loves food a little too much (but it helps a lot if you need to wrangle him for going to the vet!), and he loves wand toys! He will sometimes sleep at the foot of his people’s bed, and likes to be in the room we are in. He is just the sweetest boy!
He can be picked up easily, so he is not feral. He’s still learning to trust, so new people will need to go very slow. He will need his own room when he goes to a new home where he can get familiar with his new family and build trust before integrating into the whole household. He can be with other cats, but so far has not befriended any in his current home. He can probably be around dogs, and children who know how to be respectful of animals. He has never bit anyone, but he does communicate when he is scared with his paws. We keep his claws trimmed, but also he doesn’t really swat at us anymore. He has in the past.
He is adorable, playful, curious, and so unbelievably lovable! He has a childlike innocence that makes him very charming. Can you take over loving this handsome and dapper sweetheart?
Mad Max is in foster care. Please submit an application or contact our adoption specialists at adoption@kittyrevolution.org to meet him.
