Maybelle is a goofy, affectionate gal looking for love! Maybelle was found in rough shape, underweight and with an old injury that hadn't been treated, leaving her back leg needing to be amputated. She struggles with stairs so would need help or do best in a one-level home.
She wants nothing more than to snuggle up with you and have a warm, cozy spot to call home. Maybelle would benefit in a home where people can provide patient guidance as she continues to work on potty training. She was adopted previously and had a place to call home for a month, but somewhere in that time she developed some bad habits that her foster home have been working on with her. She uses potty pads semi-reliably, but will need more practice in this area.
This girl sleeps heavily in the strangest positions and will give you a laugh when you find how she's decided to make herself comfortable!

Maybelle is from Texas. They arrive in Minnesota on 1/10 and will need to be picked up from the Ruff Start Rescue office in Princeton, MN between the hours of 8am-Noon. Please plan for their arrival accordingly as we cannot accommodate pickups outside of this time frame. Since they haven’t arrived yet, they are available exclusively through Ruff Start’s Foster to Adopt (FTA) Program. Click here to learn more about the FTA program. Once they get to Minnesota, they might require further veterinary care. Ruff Start’s veterinary suite is located in Princeton, MN, and, as the foster, you will be required to transport your dog to and from these vetting appointments.

Meet the Pet
Your chosen animal’s foster home will reach out to you to discuss the pet you are interested in. If applicable, schedule a meet and greet!
Sign Adoption Contract
An Applications team member will send the electronic adoption contract to you to be signed. They will also request adoption fee payment.
Take the Pet Home
Once adoption agreement and payment are complete, you take your new pet home!
