My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Rootin' tootin' Rudy came into this world with big paws, bigger feelings, and a whole lot of yeehaw energy. At 7 months old, this Border Collie / Aussie / Great Pyrenees mix is still learning how to steer his growing body and his even-growing-er enthusiasm. The world can feel loud and busy sometimes, but Rudy is taking it in stride and trying his very best.

He's a bit of a bucking bronco when excitement hits and is working hard on four on the floor, polite doorways, and general good-mannered cowboy behavior. Rudy forgets how big he is more often than not, but his intentions are pure. Toys are his prized possessions, treats are powerful motivation, and being told he's a good boy might be his favorite thing of all.

Rudy prefers slow introductions to dog friends and would love to be the star of the show in his home. Because of his size, sensitivity, and enthusiasm, he's looking for a no-kids home with someone patient, consistent, and ready to guide a young working-breed mix through his big puppy phase.

With structure, praise, and a sense of humor, Rootin' Tootin' Rudy is going to grow into a loyal, affectionate partner - the kind of dog who tries hard, loves harder, and just needs someone to ride alongside him while he figures it all out. 🤠🐾

Therefore:

The BC Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for the animals of the world we share.
