My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Poppy has come so far with her socialization. She is no longer shy and scared. She is a willing participant in everything and with everyone in the family. Her energy has mellowed and she is a smart, active and loving dog. She is a big lap dog, her favorite thing to do is snuggle. She gets along with all dogs and her best friend is a cat. She is very clever, and tracks and hunts, but she is very afraid of loud noises and loud engines. Hunting is probably not the job for her.

Additional adoption info

We try to find homes that are out of state due to the over population of unwanted and abandoned animals in Texas. We check at least 2 references, vet references, and do social media searches on adopters. We do not adopt a pet out unless cleared by our rescue.

More about this rescue

We are a 501(c)3 rescue dedicated to addressing the pressing issues of stray cats and dogs in Ladonia and surrounding areas. We embark on a mission to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome animals in need. We are a foster based rescue only and are located in the country with a never ending problem with animals being dumped in our county. We also assist the community with getting their pets spayed and neutered to help with the over population of unwanted animals. We operate strictly on donations and fundraising.
