Hi there, I’m Gandalf.
Yes, that Gandalf, wise, round, and quietly magical. I’m a big, beautiful brown tabby boy with one eye, but don’t let that fool you. I live life just like any other cat… maybe even a little better.
I’m known around the sanctuary for my size (think: bowling ball or June bug vibes) and my legendary belly. I’m a big-time foodie, and treats, especially lickable ones, are my absolute weakness. You’ll often find me front and center when visitors arrive, politely requesting snacks. A gentle diet in my future home would be a good idea… but let’s be honest, treats will definitely help me warm up to you.
I love other cats. Truly. You’ll often see me rubbing up against my feline friends, creating what the humans here call a “sea of love,” complete with snuggle-walking. It’s kind of my thing. I also adore comfy beds, catnip bananas, lounging up high in cat trees, sunbathing, and playing when the mood strikes.
When I’m feeling safe and happy, I’m a total sweetheart. I’ll roll around on the floor begging for pets, yes, even belly rubs, and I melt when I’m brushed. It’s the good life.
But I want to be honest with you. I didn’t always trust people. I came here feral, and it took me time and patience to learn that humans can be kind. Because of that, in a new home I’m going to hide at first. I won’t come out right away or act super duper friendly on day one. I need a family who understands that trust is something we build together. I promise you, I am worth the wait.
If you’d like to meet me, you can visit me daily from 1–5 PM at the sanctuary. I’ll probably be nearby… especially if you’re holding treats.
Hope to see you soon,
Gandalf
I have excellent litter box habits. My new perfect family NEEDS to understand that it WILL take me a while to adjust at first and I WILL hide as I settle in. Give me time, patience, and use food as a tool to get me out of my shell — I really am a wonderful cat.
I am fully vetted: neutered, microchipped, FIV & FeLV negative, and up-to-date on all my vaccinations. I had a dental recently, so my teeth are all sparkly clean! I require an indoor-only home and, as with all cats — absolutely no declawing.

Their adoption process
Additional adoption info
Our goal is to be a sanctuary for cats who are not adoptable and to find loving homes for those who are. We welcome you to visit our sanctuary to snuggle with our furballs. You may even end up going home with one...or two!!!
You always need to remember our cats come with baggage. Lots of them were treated badly by people and it has taken time for them to trust us. They may need to come out of their shells once you adopt them. You need to give them time to see you are not going to hurt them. We love our Furballs and want good homes for all of them. Please remember it is all about the cats for us.
We only adopt out our Furballs to people within 2-3 hours of our sanctuary because of the baggage they come with. This does not include some of the cats in foster care (contact their foster parents for more information).
