Hi, I'm Blaze. I'm a pretty normal rooster who enjoys the simple things in life-fresh air, scratching in the dirt, and keeping an eye on my flock. I like to start the day with a good crow, then spend my time foraging, resting in the shade, and making sure everyone's where they should be. I'm alert and curious, but not over-the-top, and I do best with a calm space and a steady routine.
I'd be happiest in a home that understands roosters need room to move, consistent care, and a little patience. In return, I'll do my job, add some life to your coop, and be a reliable presence in the yard. If you're looking for a straightforward, hardworking rooster, I might be a good fit.
Call 831-373-2631 to set an appointment, or meet me at the SPCA Barn today! The SPCA strongly encourages Adoption Holds to ensure I will be waiting to meet you when you arrive. The barn is closed for lunch from 12pm - 1pm.

Four simple steps to adopt a pet
1. Visit the SPCA at 1002 Monterey-Salinas Highway across from WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca. Visit with the pet you are interested in adopting to see if his personality fits your lifestyle.
2. If you are adopting a new dog and already have one at home, you will need to introduce them at the SPCA to ensure a good match. When adopting, please bring your current dog with you. Our animal care staff will assist you with introducing your current dog to the dog you are hoping to adopt. We also prefer when possible that all family members living in the home meet any new pet before adopting.
3. The SPCA adoption process takes approximately 20-30 minutes to complete. All paperwork, vaccination records, and microchip information will be provided at this time.
4. Take your new lifelong family member home!
We understand that sometimes potential adopters are at work or school, coming from long distances, or need time to gather pets and family together to meet their potential new adoptee. Because of this, the SPCA offers a 24 hour hold on adoptable pets.
Holds cost $30 for a 24 hour period.
