As an older lady, I am looking for a home to live out my golden years soaking up all the love I can get.

Don't pass me up because of my age! Provide me with a stroll around the block, and a comfy bed and I will be the perfect companion. You know I deserve it!

Treats and time are the way to my heart! Give me some of each and as I get more comfortable my true personality will shine.

New things are a little scary to me, but I all I need is time and someone to show me it's okay.

My hobbies include casual strolls through the park to sniff the flowers, cuddling on the couch for movies and enjoying plenty of snacks.

Shy and Nervous: I can be worried about new people, new surroundings and touch. I prefer to take things at my own pace and will need to live in a calm environment.

I can be picky about my canine companions. Slow introductions and having my own space will be important for me to adjust to a home with resident dogs.

Meet and greets are done on a first-come/first-served basis. There may be a wait time during our busiest times, including the weekends.

We do not offer holds on any animals at this time.

Oregon Humane Society’s Portland and Salem campuses are open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., seven days per week. Adoptions are on a first-come, first-served basis.

When you come to the shelter and see a pet you are interested in meeting, please take note of the pet’s name and visit the front desk in the lobby. Our Customer Care team will be happy to assist you with the next steps.
