To adopt, visit our shelter! We do require veterinarian and personal references to adopt. All pets need to be current on vaccinations and have regular wellness vet visits.

Adoption steps
- Submit Application
- Even if you don't know what animal in particular, this step gets you "on the board" and ready to move forward. Refundable $50 deposit due.
- Visit the Facility and Find a Pet
- When you visit, you may find someone else you'd rather take home. It happens a lot! We'll also get to meet you too and ask some questions.
- Home Check
- We will run our process of checking references, landlord if needed, vet/medical history etc.
- Approve Application
- Sign Adoption Contract
- You will pay the remainder adoption fee at this point.
- Take the Pet Home
- Congrats!

organization dedicated to the protection and welfare of animals in La Crescent, Minnesota. We are a committed to providing a no-kill shelter, which means we are always seeking volunteers and foster homes as well as permanent homes for our animals.
