Meet Stewie- a 2-year-old handsome teddy bear weighing 86 lbs. He is a special mix of playful and calm, goofy enough to entertain kids, but also calm and well-mannered when it is time to chill.
Stewie loves all toys and proudly carries around his prized stuffies! He will also flop over for all the belly rubs he can get! This smart stud muffin is house-trained and sleeps quietly in his kennel at night.
Stewie would do great with an active family or person who goes on walks, runs, or weekend adventures. Though he would be thrilled to have a canine buddy to play with, he’d be just as happy as your loyal one-and-only companion.
Stewie is naturally curious about the world, so a secure 5-foot fence is recommended to help keep him safe (he can clear a 4-foot fence when wanting to go exploring).
At just 2 years old, Stewie is the perfect balance of playful energy and calm companion vibes. He is the kind of dog who will walk beside you, watch over you, settle in right beside you, and love you with his whole heart.
Stewie is neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccines, and flea/tick/heartworm preventatives. His adoption fee is $175. If you’re looking for a playful, devoted companion, Stewie can’t wait to meet you! Fill out your application at PawsitiveTailsKC.org.

Where are you located?
Pawsitive Tails does not have a physical location. All of our dogs live in loving foster homes throughout the Kansas City and Topeka area. This allows fosters to get to know each dog personally, so we can find the very best home for them.
What are your hours?
As a foster based rescue, every person with Pawsitive Tails is a volunteer. Because we do not have a facility, we do not have “open” hours but can be contacted between 8am and 9pm.
Can I stop in to visit dogs and play with puppies?
No. We require an approved application to be on file before meeting our dogs/puppies. In addition, our dogs live in foster homes, so we must work around the foster parents’ schedule.

More about this rescue
Pawsitive Tails strives to be something different in the animal adoption community. We simply want to help dogs and puppies find new homes by matching the right dog to the right family.
Pawsitive Tails is a not for profit organization focused on finding forever homes for dog and puppies. We are not a shelter and we do not have a facility - all the dogs in our program live in foster homes.
