Rambo is a 3-year-old, 72-pound mixed breed with a heart as big as he is. This sweet boy found himself needing a new home after his elderly owner became hospitalized and could no longer care for him. Through it all, Rambo has shown nothing but love, resilience, and an easygoing spirit.
Rambo is wonderfully well-rounded—he gets along great with other dogs, cats, and children, making him an excellent fit for many types of families. He truly lives for the simple joys in life: cuddles on the couch, car rides with the windows cracked, and leisurely walks where he can explore his surroundings. On leash, he has a bit of a zigzag style, but he doesn’t pull much and continues to improve as he settles into routine.
When Rambo first arrived at his foster home, he did some marking and wore a belly band briefly, but that phase has passed. He is now fully housetrained with no issues. He also does well in a crate and adapts easily to home life.
Overall, Rambo is the kind of dog who just wants to be loved and included. Sweet, gentle, and affectionate, he would thrive in a home ready to give him the companionship he craves. If you’re looking for a loyal buddy who will happily ride shotgun and snuggle close at the end of the day, Rambo may be your perfect match.
Adoption Application: www.jasperslegacy.org/apply-to-adopt **********************
Rambo is located in a foster home. We are happy to coordinate a meet & greet for pre-approved adopters. To get started, please submit an adoption application at www.jasperslegacy.org/apply-to-adopt
Adoption process: Potential adopters complete our online application. From there, we contact them to continue the screening process including checking references, vet checks, and a personal phone interview. Upon completion, potential adopters are pre-approved.
From there, potential adopters are put in touch with the foster parent(s) of the dog they are interested in adopting. If a specific dog is not in mind, admins will make suggestions based on who we feel will be good candidates for their home. We take the foster's opinions into high consideration when determining ideal fit for an adoption.
Once the dog is determined to be a good fit for the adoptive home, the adopter is given advisement on decompression, training, safety gear, and future preventative vetting. The adoption contract is signed and adoption fee paid to finalize the adoption.
