Medical needs: Neuter appointment is included in the adoption fee at one of the clinics we use and will be requested at the clinic closest to the foster to adopt family. (Options are Wilmington, Newark, Dover, Georgetown.) The clinics assign the appointments, and keeping that appointment will be a condition of adoption. Foster to adopt families must live within one hour of one of the clinics listed above and be willing to travel here for the pending appointment. A $75 check will be collected at time of adoption but will be destroyed after neuter appointment.
Housebroken: he is a puppy so we take him out consistently to prevent any accidents. He is still learning!
Crate trained: Yes. Inari loves his crate, he sleeps in it through the night without a peep unless he hears the resident dogs get up in the morning. He is a little timid when it comes to getting him out but if you give him time he will slowly work his way out of there
Good in the car: Yes from the few that he has been on.
Good on a leash: yes but again he is a puppy so he will still need lots of training!
Energy level: typical puppy energy. Will snuggle up with you or get the zoomies
Need a fenced in yard: No, but it does help contain him since he is a fast little guy. I am sure with proper training he would do well without as well.
Dog Friendly: Yes , he gets very excited when he sees other dogs.
If yes, does your foster need another dog in its adoptive homes? No, not a need but i am sure he would love someone to play with!
Cat Friendly? There are no cats in his foster home. So unsure how he would do.
Kid Friendly: yes
If yes, what's the youngest child you'd recommend they be placed with? with proper supervision, i am sure he would be fine with any age. He's a puppy and still learning his way so he can go into shark mode with the nibbles.
Special traits that make your foster special or that we need to know about them?
Inari is a goofy little guy that will always make you laugh. Since arriving at the fosters house he has come out of his shell and stole everyone's hearts. He can still be timid at times especially with quick movements but if you're sitting down he would LOVE to come and snuggle with you. He's a puppy so time and patience is key with him. Inari seems to be a fast learner. He will love anyone he meets. Anyone would be lucky to have Inari in their home.
