My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Ruby Mae is a super sweet, beautiful red & white female Boston terrier who needs an only-dog home. She gets along with other dogs on walks and at the dog park, but randomly attacks the smaller dog in her home. However, she is fine with cats and older children.

Ruby Mae is almost 7 years old and wieghs 24 lb. She is spyed, house-trained and crate-trained and is current on vaccinations and is on monthly heartworm preventative. She likes toys, but is very rough on them, as most Bostons are.

Ruby Mae is in Rutherfordton, NC. Her adoption fee is $440. (includes microchip registration) We would consider a foster-to-adopt situation. The adoption fee is generally based on the dog's age and provides for neutering or spaying, all required shots, heartworm testing (we endorse "the new moxie-doxy" treatment for heart worms).

It is our expectation & a requirement that heartworm preventative be continued as well as any required vet visits after the pet is adopted.

If for some reason a match isn't made the first time around and you are approved, we will keep your application on file for the next opportunity to arise. Our primary goal is to place a dog in the most suitable environment, based on the animal's individual needs and its temperament. The commitment is lifelong and the Boston's interests are always foremost.
