Meet Johnny Cash and June Carter, a beautiful pair of blue heelers with hearts of gold who have been well taken care of, until now 😢.
Johnny Cash, our resilient boy, has congestive heart failure, but with the right medications, he’s able to live comfortably. On the rare occasion he passes out, his devoted mate, June Carter, is right there to lovingly lick him back to consciousness.
Sadly, their beloved human is battling cancer and can no longer care for them. Johnny and June are both incredibly sweet, well-behaved, and get along wonderfully with other dogs. They are house-trained and crate-trained, making them a perfect pair for a loving home.
If you have room in your heart and home for this dynamic duo, they will surely return your love tenfold. 4 and 8 years old, located in Florida. Will transport within Florida.

We require potential adopters to fill out an Adoption Application.When that is approved we can arrange for the prospective adopter to meet the dog they are interested in. We do require an adoption contract to be signed at time of adoption. We have a virtual home-check process (don't forget to submit photos of the exterior of your home!) Adoption fees range depending on the age of the dog. We do have dogs located at qualified fosters throughout the state and also out of state.

Since all rescue dogs live in foster homes, there is no single facility to meet pups.

We are a small, foster-based rescue organization located in Southwest Florida. Being small helps us give more one-on-one attention to individual dogs and their needs. Rescued dogs are kept in our homes and treated as our own. Herding dogs are unique. They are highly intelligent and require much of the owner’s attention. The dogs are evaluated, when they come into the rescue, for any temperament and health issues. Then they are given basic obedience, socialization and rehabilitation as it is necessary.
It is our sole purpose to find forever homes for these loving, wonderful dogs that have been discarded through no fault of their own. All adopted dogs are spayed/neutered, up to date on shots, heartworm negative, micro-chipped, and on flea and heartworm preventative.
