My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

✨ Meet Sharpie

Female • Small Shar-Pei Mix • 1.5 Years Old Born 7/2/2024 • 20 pounds • Healthy • Vaccinated • Spayed

Sharpie is a petite, soulful girl with those irresistible wrinkles and the kindest eyes. Though she’s a Shar-Pei mix, she’s on the smaller side, making her a perfect compact companion with all the charm of the breed in a more manageable size. At just a year and a half old, Sharpie is settling beautifully into adulthood and is ready to find her forever family.

Personality

Sharpie is gentle, affectionate, and quietly devoted. She may take a little time to feel fully comfortable in new situations, but once she does, her loyalty is unwavering. She loves being near her people, soaking up calm affection, and sharing peaceful moments. Sharpie has a soft, thoughtful nature and thrives in a home where kindness, patience, and routine are part of daily life.

Breed Info (Small Shar-Pei Mix)

Small Shar-Pei mixes are often known for:

  • Deep loyalty and strong bonds with their family

  • Calm, observant temperaments

  • Intelligence and independence balanced by affection

  • A preference for stable, predictable environments

Sharpie’s smaller size makes her well-suited for a variety of living situations, while still offering the devoted companionship the breed is known for.

Owner Responsibilities

Sharpie’s future family should be prepared to:

  • Provide patience and gentle guidance as she settles in

  • Maintain basic training and consistent routines

  • Monitor skin folds and coat care

  • Keep up with routine veterinary visits

Even though Sharpie is healthy, adopters should take her to their own veterinarian as soon as possible after adoption.

Things to Consider Before Adopting

  • Shar-Pei mixes may need time to build trust

  • Consistent routines help her feel secure

  • Confirm landlord or HOA approval

  • Dogs require lifelong care, time, and emotional commitment

  • Adoption is a forever promise, not a short-term decision

The 3-3-3 Rule

The first 3 days help Sharpie decompress, the first 3 weeks allow her to learn your routine, and the first 3 months are when she truly understands she’s home and safe.

✨ Why Sharpie Will Be a Great Addition

Sharpie is the kind of dog who quietly steals your heart. She doesn’t demand attention — she earns it through her gentle presence and loyal soul. If you’re looking for a calm, loving companion who will form a deep, meaningful bond with you, Sharpie is ready to be your forever girl.
