Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Your New Shadow, Sock Thief, and Bed Buddy 🐾
This tiny 8-lb Yorkie mix may be small, but his loyalty is huge! He’s a gentle little guy who starts off a bit nervous, then quickly decides you’re his person once trust is built - and from that moment on, congratulations, you have a devoted sidekick for life.
He loves other dogs, gets along with cats, and is happiest when he has a furry friend to bond with. Toys are a favorite pastime, and treats? Let’s just say he would absolutely sell his soul for one. Training is a breeze when snacks are involved and he’s already mastered ‘sit’ and ‘paw’.
He’s fully potty trained and pee-pad trained (overachiever alert 🚨). He’s polite in the house—no chewing shoes or furniture—but fair warning: if a sock is left unattended, it may mysteriously disappear and reappear later in his bed like a treasured prize.
This little gentleman prefers companionship over crates and would do best in a home where he’s not left alone often (pet companionship is fine). He’s mastered doggie stairs and believes beds are for sleeping with people or dog friends. His energy level is low to medium, making him a perfect snuggle-then-play-then-nap kind of pup.
He’s looking for a calm, patient family (ideally with another friendly dog) who will give him the time and love he needs to feel safe. In return, he’ll give you unwavering loyalty, endless affection, and possibly return your missing socks. If you’re ready for a tiny best friend with a big heart and excellent cuddle skills, this little Yorkie mix is ready to meet you! 🩷
NOTE: Because he’s pint-sized and a bit sensitive, Chewy would be happiest in a home without young children, or with calm, dog-savvy kids ages 12 and up who understand how to respect a little guy’s boundaries. 🐾

We're a home-based rescue, so there's always someone around to care for the dogs. Most of our dogs are allowed to roam the main yard (as long as they behave themselves), and we have several food and water stations throughout. Every evening, the dogs are tucked into our kennel building with soft bedding.
Our focus is family-friendly dogs who get along with everyone. Of course, we sometimes don't know a dog's temperament until we meet, but we work hard to ensure dogs are going to the right homes for them.
Mission Statement
To provide rescue, rehabilitation and new loving homes for dogs that have been living on the street, abused, abandoned and removed from high kill shelters.
