Cow is a 7-year-old pit mix (unsure with what) with the energy and curiosity of a puppy. True to her name, she has no concept of personal space and loves being close to her person. She is affectionate, goofy, and deeply loyal.
Before I adopted her, Cow was believed to have been used as a bait dog and was later found tied to a shelter gate. She spent the longest time at her rescue, and because of her past, she needs a patient, experienced owner who understands trauma-informed care.
Cow is great with kids but does not do well with other dogs and would do best as the only pet. She can coexist with cats only after very slow, structured introductions (it took many months in our home).
I am committed to finding Cow a safe, loving home and will be selective.
