This sweet squish face is Julie. She is 4 years old and about 50 pounds.
Julie has been described as an absolute delight in the house when it's just her and her people. She has never gotten into anything she's not supposed to. We can leave food on the coffee table and she won't go after it. She is definitely medium to low energy. She is an absolute cuddle bug, and mostly happy to snuggle with you on the couch all day long. She has small sprints of energy and loves toys, playing tug, sometimes chasing a squeaky ball. She does this very cute pouncing thing that is somewhere in between a dog and a cat, and it is absolutely adorable. She likes small spaces, she's prone to go under the couch or bed. She can be a little bit stubborn for sure.
Julie has some anxiety that she is working on. She is startled very easily by any quick movement, loud noise, unexpected touch, etc... The vacuum is her mortal enemy, although she is getting much better at tolerating it.
On leash, she is mostly well behaved, but has become reactive to dogs, cats, and small animals, which looks like pulling, barking, and sometimes lunging. She is a pretty strong girl. She can be redirected but it takes a bit of effort.
She can be pretty anxious meeting new people, especially if they are in her space (her home). She needs a slow introduction to people and to be allowed to get comfortable on her terms and timetable. She is looking for a calm and quiet home without children or other animals. She would love a family that can see her insecurities and help her work on them. If you think you have the right home for Julie, please fill out an application.
