My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

As Luci’s foster mama, I truly believe her purpose in life is to be a beautiful, gentle companion for both her humans and your other friendly furbabies. She greets new animals as if she’s known them for years, always sweet, respectful, and calm from the very start. Luci is still young, under 1 year old, and much smaller than photos make her appear. She lights up when her people are around, perking up and trotting over for a head pat, and she has a funny habit of sniffing your lips in search of a little smooch. Throughout the day she’s a very quiet, chill lady who enjoys a peaceful routine. Luci does have one unique quirk: she’s what we’d consider an overstimulated kitty. During her time at the shelter, she’s been closely monitored, and pain or medical issues have been ruled out. Our best understanding is that she occasionally experiences big, overwhelming feelings in her body. When this happens, she may have a brief moment of hissing or growling at absolutely nothing. These episodes are short, never directed at people or animals, and she self-regulates beautifully by stepping away to rest and calm herself. She has zero aggression. She adores gentle affection and playful moments, especially in short bursts. After a few minutes, she likes to retreat to recharge. She is a bit of a hand-attacker once play kicks in, but she is endlessly affectionate, constantly rubbing against her humans and her animal friends to show her love. Luci is looking for a calm, patient, and understanding home that will appreciate her gentle nature and support her special trait. In return, she offers sweetness, companionship, and quiet devotion.
