Meet Brown Sugar 🤎
Brown Sugar is a sweet girl who came to us as an owner surrender after having litter box issues in her previous home. Sometimes changes in environment, stress, or medical concerns can affect a cat’s habits, and Brown Sugar deserves a fresh start with understanding and patience.
Brown Sugar has shown herself to be a very nice girl. She will let you pick her up and handle her, and she enjoys gentle attention. Her calm and cooperative nature suggests she’ll do well in a stable, loving home where she can feel safe and settled.

Meet and greets with your family dog and shelter dog is encouraged. Dog and cat meet and greets are not allowed.

$80 for all kitten/cat adoptions. $90 for all puppy/dog adoptions. $35 for all rabbit adoptions.

Additional adoption info

The shelter is open to the public Monday through Saturday from 9:00am to 5:00pm, with adoptions closing at 4:30pm. The shelter is closed on Sundays and all government observed holidays.

City of Henderson Animal Care and Control is the only open admission animal shelter in the City of Henderson. We service the City of Henderson and the residents and animals within city limits. Our goal is to find forever homes for all adoptable animals and reunite pets with their people. We work with multiple rescue groups and allow any good adoptee to adopt from our shelter.
