My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Animal Information: Waffles is a 10-month-old neutered male Malinois mix who currently weighs 70lbs, but does need to lose a little weight! He and his littermates were left in a parking lot at Devore shelter when they were just 8 weeks old. Unfortunately the shelter was full so one of our rescue partners took the puppies home to vet them and find them families. Waffles is the last of the litter many months later, and he has been living in a trailer park with other dogs and people. We look forward to meeting him!

Foster Profile:  Waffles is such a big love! He would do great in a home with a balanced dog friend but would also be fine as an only dog with an active family. He loves all people and other dogs and is quite a “leaner” so be prepared for lots of affection from this sweet boy. Waffles is crate and potty trained. He can be a little vocal when he is first settling in, so we are not considering apartments for him at this time. He’d love a home with a fence yard and a bit of room to run and play.

Waffles is an energetic boy and would make a great running/hiking partner, but he does have a good off switch when inside and it’s time to chill. An owner with Malinois/Shepherd experience would probably be best for Waffles as he is a big floppy/jumpy puppy at this point and will benefit from continued balanced training. As is common for his breed and age, he is a bit mouthy when playing, so would be a lot to manage with young children, but older, dog savvy kids would be just fine. Overall Waffles is a sweet boy with lots of love to give to a lucky PNW family.

Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $575 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations Rabies and DPPV per AVMA standards, any indicated preventative care, heartworm test, microchip with lifetime registration, and recent health check with a veterinarian.
