Arya is a 6 month old German shepherd from Yakima that was dumped in a local park near a homeless encampment. Luckily a woman found her and brought her into her small trailer to protect her from the harsh cold until she found her way to us. When she reached us, she had a chain bolted around her neck and was underweight, but none of that stopped her bright loving spirit from shining through and trusting us to care for her; she truly just wants to be loved 💛

She’s very playful and silly; playing respectfully and submissively with other dogs, and just wants to cuddle up next to you and relax when the play session is over. In typical GSD fashion, she loves kiddos and is loyal to them. If they’re crying, she’s right there giving kisses trying to console them; she will make a great family dog!

We have no idea how someone could dump this sweet girl but we hope she finds the perfect family she deserves 💛

Arya is spayed, vaccinated and Microchipped included in her adoption donation!

1.
Submit Application

Please submit an application to express your interest in a dog. We will do our best to respond quickly, please be patient

2.
Home Check

This will be a virtual review of your home and time to check references.

3.
Interview

You will have a phone interview to discuss your questions, information about the dog, and best dog for your exact situation.

4.
Approve Application

This will occur after the above steps and positive phone interview.

5.
Meet the Pet

A meet and greet will be scheduled. If everything is as expected, we plan on the dog going home with you from this meeting.

6.
Sign Adoption Contract

Must be completed at or prior to the meet and greet to result in an adoption.

7.
Pay Fee

Then take pet home and live happily ever after together!

More about this rescue

We are a committed group of dog lovers who have decades of experience in dog rescue, volunteering at animal shelters and owning rescue dogs. Most recently, our two founders, have been working with rescuing dogs from Mexico and the Asian dog meat trade as well as California kill shelters, Midwest puppy mill breeder releases and rehoming owner surrendered dogs in Washington and Oregon.

Deciding that we are able to rescue more by combining forces, Pacific Rim Rescue was formed. Our mission is to rescue dogs from devastating conditions from countries of the Pacific Rim.

We are committed to providing foster homes, veterinary and behavioral training for these dogs, so that they may live happy and fulfilling lives in their forever homes.
