Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Riley and Twain are available for a foster-to-adopt home together.
Riley is on a special life-long diet that costs about $50-60 per month.
Riley and Twain are a bonded pair of sweet, gentle souls who have spent almost seven wonderful years side by side and are now hoping to find a home together. They were surrendered through no fault of their own and are now looking for a fresh start with a family who will cherish them as much as they deserve. These two would love nothing more than a calm, loving environment where they can settle in and stay forever.
Both Riley and Twain are affectionate and kind-hearted, though they can be a little shy at first around men. With patience, consistency, and a few tasty treats, they slowly open up and show their true personalities.
They love going for walks and enjoy getting out to explore, and at home you’ll often find them happily cuddling together or entertaining themselves with their favorite stuffed toys. They are crate-trained, house-trained, and mostly potty-trained, making them an easy addition to a home that understands a little patience during transitions.
Riley and Twain have lived with children before and would do well with respectful kids who understand giving dogs space when needed. They prefer to keep their circle small and would do best as the only dogs in the home, as they do not enjoy the company of other dogs.
They are currently available as foster-to-adopt while they receive a bit of extra care: Twain will be having a dental procedure. Their future family would be supported during this time, and fostering first allows everyone to get to know each other before making things official.
Please note: - Our website (www.neenahanimalshelter.org) is updated in real time, so we are accepting applications for all animals that are currently listed. - Applications can be downloaded from our website. (http://neenahanimalshelter.org/how-to-adopt.html) - Our shelter has open visiting hours for cats, however pre-approved application are needed prior to an adoption. Appointments may be scheduled with an approved application as well, otherwise we may not be able to accommodate same day adoptions. - Approved applications are required prior to meeting any of our dogs.
