These three boys are 1-year-old Domestic Shorthair cats with the most darling chunky cheeks! Their arrival at the shelter was unfortunate, as they were left in our driveway in a mesh kennel until our staff found them early in the morning, cold and scared. Because of this, it took Paul, Peter, and Patrick some time to feel comfortable. For a while, they mostly hid and kept to themselves.
Peter was the first to open up, pressing his head into our hands to show us he was ready for some love! Now, all three enjoy getting their chins scratched, though Paul and Patrick are still a little shy. Peter’s favorite move is rolling over to show off his belly. We know these three will continue to blossom into confident, loving companions. For three black cats, we feel incredibly lucky to have found them in time and are so glad they are safe and ready for a new beginning.
Paul, Peter, and Patrick are neutered, microchipped, and up to date on their vaccines. They`re ready to meet you at The Babinski Foundation Animal Shelter Tuesdays through Saturdays from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM or Sundays from 12:00 to 5:00 PM.

We strive to ensure a safe, healthy, and loving environment that will provide temporary shelter for abandoned, stray, and surrendered animals and to find each animal a new and prosperous home.
The Babinski Foundation is a private 501c3 animal shelter located in Pequot Lakes, MN. We are a safe place to surrender dogs and cats. We also are a stray drop-off facility for stray cats and dogs.
OUR STORY
The Babinski Foundation was established in 2010 by Donald and Elizabeth Babinski owners and founders of Babinski Properties which owns multifamily housing in Minnesota, Florida and South Dakota. He and his wife Elizabeth were working tirelessly to get the animal shelter opened which was their dream, but Donald Babinski passed away August 11th, 2014 before the shelter could open. Elizabeth continued where they left off and the Foundation opened in January 2016 in Pequot Lakes, MN. Elizabeth passed away on November 13th, 2020. Donald and Elizabeth’s dream was finally realized, and Donald and Elizabeth’s surviving family and friends will continue to work hard to fulfill their mission.
