Sophia is finally ready to start her journey toward a real forever home—one where she’ll never again be tossed aside like she didn’t matter. This girl has been through more than any cat should.
Born around May 7th, 2022, Sophia was adopted as a kitten alongside her sister, Blanche. But at the end of October, both girls were found on the streets and taken to the humane society after surviving outside for about a month. We brought them back into rescue, safe and warm again, and now it’s time to rewrite their story.
Sophia and Blanche don’t appear to be strongly bonded, but it would be wonderful if someone wanted to give them a home together. Sophia will also do beautifully:
- As a solo cat,
- With her sister, or
- With another calm, respectful cat, as long as proper introductions are done.
She previously lived in a home with children, though we haven’t personally seen her interact with kids yet. We also don’t know how she feels about dogs.
What we do know is this:
Sophia is resilient, gentle, and so deserving of a home that will cherish her for life. She’s ready for stability, love, and a family who sees her as someone—not something.

We also have cats in the windows at Petsmart on Monroe Street ( 5241 Monroe St, Toledo, OH 43623 ) they can view throughout the week and we have events on Sundays from 4-6 there.

Our mission is to provide temporary and long-term shelter and vet care for homeless dogs and cats.
