Pearl is my name and I am one of 9 puppies born to a small, dachshund/chihuahua mix mom. Unfortunately, she was really skinny except for that big belly that was full of puppies and she couldn’t feed all of us when we were born.
So I came to my foster mom to get bottle fed along with 2 of my siblings. That worked out really well, but since I was a fussy fart, I refused formula and made my bottle baby mom buy goat’s milk for me to drink. It just tasted better and I loved it. In fact, I loved it so much that I told my sibbers about it and they only drank goat’s milk too!! Mmmmm!!
Anyhow, now I am not so fussy but I do like my small bits puppy food so maybe I am still a little fussy so you may want to consider how you are going to spoil me when you adopt me. I will stay small as mom was only 17 pounds full of puppies so I am not sure how much she weighs now, but take away 9 puppies ... .what does that make?
I get my baby making bits removed on January 5, 2026 and then will be able to go to my forever home. Will that be with you?
Anyhow, I won’t last long as I am adorable, if I do say so myself!

Adoption application required for dogs. However, because it stresses cats to be confined and transported with dogs long distances, we do not transport our cats. They are local to Texas only. Thank you.
Adoption fees with transport included start at $400 higher prices for Purebred and/or highly desirable pets. Adoption application, adoption contract, return/foster agreement if dog doesn't work out in home.
We work hard to place dogs in the right homes, if the adoption does not work out and we have room to take the dog back into the rescue, we will. However, the sheer number of needy animals in TX usually means we become full quickly after the dog is adopted. So, in those cases we will post the animal, help the adopter screen applicants and help facilitate finding another home for the dog.
