Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi there… I’m Ramona, a sweet, golden-eyed beauty with the perfect mix of affection, independence, and just a touch of goofball energy.
Most of the time, I’m a calm, gentle girl who loves following my favorite human from room to room. I’m not big on being picked up, but every now and then I surprise everyone by actually enjoying it. My real love language? Scratchies — especially way back by my tail. Give me a good scratch session and I'll roll around on the floor being cute, silly, and irresistible.
I like to stay close to my person, whether they’re relaxing in a chair or tucked into bed, though I don’t always curl up right on their lap. I’m not super chatty, but I’ll let out a few soft meows here and there just to make sure you know I’m thinking about you. Oh, and if you’ve got squeeze treats? We’ll get along great!
Even though I’m laid back, I do have my bursts of energy — my parkour skills are impressive, and when the zoomies hit, I’m basically an acrobat. I love wand toys, puff balls, catnip, and my tall cat tower where I can sit up high and observe my kingdom. My scratching post is another favorite… a girl has to keep her nails looking sharp, after all.
I prefer to be the only feline in the house — I’m not really interested in sharing my person with other cats. But if you’re looking for a sweet, silly, affectionate companion who will stay by your side, entertain you with her antics, and melt your heart with a single look from her gorgeous golden eyes, I just might be your girl.
Love,
Ramona

More about this shelter
We are a small shelter that rescues pets from local impounds whose time is up, and would otherwise be euthanized. We only have 9 dog kennels and 26 cat kennels; as many of 80% of the animals in our care are located in foster homes throughout the community at any time. We are very limited on space within our shelter and often, we can't take in owner surrenders, but will do our best to help give guidance about rehoming pets.
We offer several services besides adoption, including microchip clinics and pet-friendly rental housing listings.
We are the only shelter in the FM area that rescues both cats and dogs, so without our help, hundreds of dogs and cats would be euthanized each year in local pounds.
