My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Albert: Professional Crumb Detective & Former Vacuum Cleaner
Location: Currently solving the mystery of where that microscopic chip crumb went (spoiler: he found it)

Are you missing a vacuum cleaner in your life? Do you dream of floors so clean you could eat off them? Well, Albert dreams of eating off them too—and he's been training his whole life for this moment.

About Albert:
Albert is a low-energy gentleman with high food ambitions. While other dogs are out running marathons, Albert is conducting thorough forensic investigations of your kitchen floor. Did a crumb fall behind the refrigerator in 2019? Albert will find it. He's like a metal detector, except he detects carbs.

Albert is the perfect roommate—crate trained, potty trained, and calm as a cucumber. He sleeps peacefully in his crate or bed at night, probably dreaming about that piece of toast you dropped last Tuesday. When left alone, he transforms into a combination of Sherlock Holmes and a Roomba, methodically investigating every surface for edible evidence.

Personality Highlights:

Confidence Level: CEO of a Fortune 500 company
Energy Level: Retired Florida grandpa
Prey Drive: What prey? He's only hunting snacks
Barking: Only to politely request bathroom breaks (a true gentleman)
Car Rides: Smooth operator
Stranger Danger: None. New friend = potential food supplier

Perfect For:

People who occasionally drop food (let's be honest, that's everyone)
Homes with other dogs (Albert thinks they're cool)
Homes with cats (also cool)
Anyone who wants a chill companion for leisurely walks
Families who need someone to ensure no crumb is left behind!

If you're looking for a calm, confident, and food-obsessed companion who will love you unconditionally, Albert is your guy. He promises to keep your floors spotless and your heart full.

6 years young, neutered, vaccinated, fecal tested, microchipped, hw neg.

Apply today—Albert's stomach can't wait! 🐕🍕🥨🍪

Additional adoption info

Peace Love and Paws Rescue is an all-volunteer, non-profit, animal welfare organization dedicated to the rescue and placement of stray, neglected and abused animals. Peace Love and Paws Rescue is completely funded through fundraising efforts and public donations. All of our pets are cared for by foster homes and receive complete medical care, which includes worming, vaccinations, spaying/neutering and microchipping prior to their adoption.

This questionnaire is designed to help Peace Love and Paws Rescue determine if a specific dog is the right match for you and your household. All adopting and fostering parties are required to complete this form prior to adoption. Peace Love and Paws Rescue reserves the right to deny any adoption or fostering based on answers to this questionnaire and/or interviews prior to adoptions and placing foster homes!

More about this rescue

We are three passionate, animal loving dog moms who met through various volunteer efforts at local rescues in the Detroit area. We continued talking outside of volunteering and quickly came to realize that we all had similar goals, to help as many animals in need that we possibly could. In the Detroit area, there are so many animals who need homes, medical attention, and love.

We decided that we wanted to be able to do more to help these animals. We are raising funds through selling merchandise, fundraising, donations, and supporting local community events. All funds raised will be used to establish a nonprofit status, fund the medical needs of local dogs, and find shelter animals their furever home.

Follow us on our journey to create a rescue that provides animals the love and care they need while they find their home. We will post updates on our social media of the dogs we are able to help and how your support made a difference.
