Hello,
My name is Mr. Humphrey and I am a gentleman ready for a home! SSPCA rescued me in April and changed the course of my life. I was scared and confused and alone in the world. I didn't make any noise at all and didn’t trust anyone. One day I was in a pen with another dog just watching the people. This lady, in a big chair that rolls, came up and started talking to me. She took me for a walk, and I was so good she decided to take me home. At first, I feared everything, but she was calm and let me decide to trust her when I was ready.
5 months later:
I now have both the AKC Canine Good Citizen and the AKC Urban Canine Good Citizen Certification! The trainer says I would be a great Emotional Support Dog and is willing to complete that training for free here in San Antonio. Now it is time to meet my forever home with all these great new skills to share!
I would like to be in a home where I can have a soft bed, that is my safe space. I sometimes just want to look at you and know I'm safe near you. I like to shake hands with new people, but it will take a bit of time to trust them. While I don’t mind other dogs, I don’t really want to play with them. It would be great to have a home where the other dog is calm or just being the only dog. I think cats are fun to chase, so the lady says I shouldn't live with them. I would do best in a home that doesn’t have small children.
