Hi I'm Benito! I'm a very sweet, good boy estimated at about a year old and weighing around 45 lbs. I endured a painful past in my short life. I was found lying in a field after being attacked by other animals and needed emergency surgery to piece my ear back together. That is all behind me now and I'm a happy, playful boy now! I am friendly with dogs and people at the rescue and quickly became a volunteer and staff favorite! My one lingering issue is that I tested heartworm-positive and am currently undergoing treatment using the "slow kill" method, which will have to be continued by my adopters by administering oral meds. My rescue will cover the expenses for those medications and retesting until I test negative, which will happen in due time. My $250 adoption fee includes all of the care I needed to get healthy as well as vet exam, up to date vaccines, neuter, deworming, heartworm meds until negative test result and microchip.
