My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Winston was rescued from a crowded shelter. He was nervous very matted and dirty when first found in the streets. After a week he warmed up. Shelter staff were able to shave off mats and bathed him. He enjoyed laps and gave kisses. Plays with toys. Was good with other dogs. Now happy and playful meeting another dog out of the shelter. He is now relaxing at his loving foster home with another dog. So far he is very friendly and sweet. He will be groomed soon to even out body coat paws and trim his face. Once he is healthy he will be neutered. More photo and info to come from his foster home. He is a sweetie. 12/31/25 Update from foster home: Winn is still working on potty training (very normal for young small dogs). He may mark which is being managed with a belly band and is expected to improve significantly once neutered. Great with dogs — playful respectful and socially savvy Playful around cats Gentle and affectionate — not aggressive not nippy Quiet for a small dog — not a big barkerEnjoys being held and cuddling on your lap Confident in the home with no disruptive behaviors Crate trained at night — sleeps through without accidents Smart curious and eager to learn Loves playtime walks and exploringJanuary 2, 2026, 1:40 am

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

We are very thorough in our adoption process. The details and costs can be found on our How to Adopt page. We expect the whole family to be involved in the process.

We believe our dogs and cats should be treated as family members for their entire lives. They deserve the best we can give them and we should never give up on them. Adoption is for life!
