My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Rosetta is being fostered in Camby IN

Rosetta AKA Rosie is a small standard red tri female Australian Shepherd.  She is 8 years old and just the sweetest little thing weighing in at 41lbs.  She came to rescue because she had lived her whole life on a chain.  When a good samaritan asked if they could help the family with her, they agreed.  She had zero vet records and they didn't know the last time she had been to the vet.  After her initial exam and vet appointment, her 4DX test showed she was positive for heartworm and Ehrlichia. She has been treated and cleared medically and now this total gem is ready for her FOREVERS!  She went from having a horrendous sun bleached coat to a GORGEOUS deep red coat that looks stunning!

Rosetta walks well on leash, is great in the car, is quiet in the home, and would love someone home more than not.  She doesn't need another dog in the home but it might ease her to have a friend.  She would LOVE to be someone's sidekick and go everywhere with them.  She doesn't mind strangers and new people and is curious when she meets them.  If they have yummy food, she instantly likes them.  She is a lower energy girlie and would be happy with a walk a day and someone to snuggle with on the couch.  She is a typical Velcro girly and will follow her human around.

Rosetta AKA Rosey would be fine as an only dog but she would also enjoy another dog in the home.   She likes kids and is a very gently soul.  Does this girlie sound perfect for you?  She doesn't need a fenced yard and isn't a flight risk.

Rosetta is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, negative for all tick borne diseases, microchipped and on monthly prevention for fleas, ticks and heartworm.  She will need to be on prevention year round going forward.  Proof of heartworm prevention for any current or previous pets is required to adopt from our organization.  For more information on our adoption process or to complete an adoption application, please visit our website at www.MidwestAustralianShepherdRescue.org.

NOTE:  All of our dogs live in foster homes with volunteers so we need an approved application on file to set up a meet with a dog you might have an interest in.  Please visit our website for more information on our adoption process, our adoption fees and a link to our adoption application.  We pride ourselves on matches that work for both the dog and your family.  MASR is here for your support, advice and safety net for our dogs for the remainder of their lives.  www.MidwestAustralianShepherdRescue.org

Additional adoption info

Meeting any dog within MASR requires an approved adoption application on file. We process as quickly as possible via volunteers. Then connect an applicant one at a time with a dog and foster home to arrange a meet and greet. If all parties at the meet and greet, including the dog, are in agreement that it is a good fit, the dog goes home that day.
