Mumford and his two siblings were rescued after being found living behind a shed just a month ago. Since then, he has made wonderful progress and is now ready for a home of his own! Mumford is a sweet, cautious boy 11 week old kitten who is still learning to trust people. He enjoys gentle pets but isn’t quite comfortable being picked up yet. His foster family has been working hard to socialize him, and he’s steadily gaining confidence. He may need a little extra time to settle in, but Mumford would do especially well in a home with a friendly, social cat or kitten to help show him the ropes. He’s very food-motivated and absolutely loves squeeze-up treats—sure to be a great way to win him over! Mumford is looking for a patient, loving family who will continue helping him blossom. This cat is waiting for it's Forever Home!

A cat's behavior in the shelter may not be what it will be like in your home; if the cat is nervous, anxious, or agitated, please know that a shelter is a very stressful place for a cat. Most often, in a home, they thrive!
Kitten Policy: Kittens must be able to socialize with other young cats or dogs as playmates, as it is important for their development. Therefore, CT Cat Connection has a policy that kittens and teenagers up to 12 months of age are adopted in pairs unless there is another animal in the household as a playmate and companion.
Due to demand, we do not place cats or kittens on hold. Your visit to the shelter is to meet all cats or kittens available for adoption at the time of visit.
If you or anyone you know is interested in helping the shelter, we are always looking for foster families of our cats and dogs, as well as in-person volunteers, to assist with animal care. Fill out an application, which can be found at https://www.ctcatconnection.org/get-involved/
