Whisper #21631 is a female Border Collie and Australian Shepherd mix. She is approximately 2 years old. She weighs 51.5 lbs.. She has not been spayed. She is gentle and affectionate. She is in need of socialization and training but is not a fear biter. She appears to be in good condition. She is heartworm negative. She is current on vaccines. She needs some leash training. She was picked up stray by an animal control officer. She is very timid and may need a quiet environment or some extra socialization work.

Our adoption fee is only $50 (exact cash, check or credit) which includes a vaccination (DA2PPv for dogs; FVRCP for cats), deworming, and a voucher for a rabies vaccination from a participating veterinarian. GA State law requires all pets adopted from animal shelters be spayed/neutered within 30 days or by sexual maturity. Send in your application today, or call 770-267-1322. General animal viewing hours - Monday to Friday, 1:00 to 4:30 PM, Saturday and Sunday Noon to 4:30 PM. Weekday morning meet-and-greets may be available by appointment with approved adoption application.

The admin office is open Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 5 PM (closed for lunch noon to 1 pm).

Rescue Hours - animals may be picked up by licensed rescues anytime during our admin hours by appointment.

Walton County Animal Control is an open-intake animal control shelter in Monroe GA serving Walton County. We impound strays and receive animals surrendered by their owners. As an open-intake shelter, we are unfortunately not a "no-kill" shelter, but strive to re-home as many adoptable pets as possible.
