My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Alvin is a approximately 5-month-old Schnoodle rescued from a puppy mill. He is an old soul. A very sweet, shy little boy that needs a lot of hugs and love. He is still trying to figure out what it is like to live in a home and likes to observe his world from afar. He does like to sit on your lap and cuddle and is great with children and other dogs. He is doing very well with housebreaking. Alvin will be an amazing dog once he realizes that he is now safe and loved. Alvin would do best with another dog in the home. He is fostered in Lisbon.

More about this rescue

Passion for Pets Rescue (PPR) is a non-profit (501c3), insured and state licensed rescue, run by volunteers. We are a small group of like-minded folks with big hearts. PPR does not have an actual shelter, all of our dogs are either in foster homes in Maine or with our Southern partners in Mississippi.

PPR covers all medical expenses. The majority of the dogs we rescue require immediate veterinary care. Skin infections and internal parasites are common occurrences. We pay for all spay & neuter surgeries. PPR makes sure all dogs are given age appropriate vaccinations, as well as, preventative medication for Heartworm and external parasites. Please contact us if you would like to help foster, transport, fundraise or volunteer.
