Elise is a bit of a diva who`d like to get the spotlight as the only pet in an indoor-only home. Her previous owner tells us she has a history of not liking other cats, dogs or even small animals. She can be shy at first and you should expect her to hide for the first couple of days in a new home. Elise is extremely food motivated and has been known to try to sneak a meal off your plate if you`re not watching her! She loves sunny windows where she can watch birds and small animals frolicking outside. If you`re looking for a single feline for your home and your heart, come to Dedham to meet Elise!
Elise is currently up to date on vaccinations and flea and tick preventative, has been spayed, microchipped and examined by our vet team.

Situated 10 miles southwest of Boston on the beautiful grounds of the former summer sanctuary for the city’s working horses, ARL’s newly remodeled shelter in Dedham, Massachusetts is just a glimpse into ARL’s bold future. The new modern shelter design allows us to provide even more animals with high-quality direct animal care that meets best-practice standards in animal welfare.
The 27-acre property serves as ARL’s main livestock center and is home to Pine Ridge Pet Cemetery, the oldest continuously operated pet cemetery by a humane society in the United States.
