My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

How this pet arrived:
Thor was brought in by his previous owner.

Why this pet is the one for you:
Thor is a friendly and outgoing pup who's ready to find an active and caring home! Thor is full of energy and will thrive with plenty of daily exercise and mental stimulation. Thor LOVES his human companions so much, he would prefer a home where he can be the only dog. Although he may not be a candidate for dog parks or other off-leash venues, there are lots of other activities you can do together to strengthen your bond! Thor loves to go for walks and is polite on a leash. His previous foster reported that he had a laidback demeanor in the home and took his napping very seriously. He also enjoyed his bath time! Thor is a smart cookie and already knows "sit" and "come." If you're looking for a loyal and spirited companion, Thor could be the one for you! Come speak to an adoption counselor to meet him today!

At SDHS:
Thor has been vaccinated, microchipped and neutered. Thor is now ready for his new home!

More about this shelter

San Diego Humane Society, an open-admission shelter, is creating a more humane world by inspiring compassion and advancing the welfare of animals and people. Our lifesaving safety net has helped San Diego become the largest city in the U.S. to keep healthy and treatable shelter animals from being euthanized. We are a private, independent, nonprofit organization that is not affiliated with any other humane society or society for the prevention of cruelty to animals.

With campuses in El Cajon, Escondido, Oceanside, Ramona and San Diego, we provide animal services for 14 cities within San Diego County. We not only care for 50,000 animals in our communities but also share the expertise we have gained through our innovative programs with shelters nationwide so they can save more lives in their communities.

While our influence is expanding nationally, our top priority is meeting the needs of San Diego. We provide exceptional care for all animals through world-class veterinary medicine, shelter and most of all: love.
