My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Do you know the Muffin Man? Because you are going to want to!

Meet Muffin!

This handsome and sweet 11 month old Australian Cattle Dog (Blue Heeler) mix is looking for love! Muffin came to us all the way from our friends in Carlsbad, New Mexico and we think he is going to be the perfect mountain dog for his new family here in Colorado! Muffin is smart, sweet, active, and outgoing! Muffin loves meeting new people and has done well meeting other friendly dogs here at the shelter after a proper and slow introduction. We are still getting to know Muffin and learn his sweet personality; but we think he would thrive in an active home where he gets lots of attention, love, and playtime! Muffin is already neutered, microchipped, and up to date on his vaccines! Come meet the Muffin Man and bring him home today!

More about this shelter

Eagle County Animal Shelter and Services handles all of the animal control and animal shelter services for Eagle County. We are a small shelter and are considered socially conscious, which means we are "no-kill" for space. We are always looking for volunteers, foster homes, and item donations. If you are interested in donating to the shelter we have a wish list available that includes lots of items that we use everyday here at our shelter to benefit the dogs and cats directly. Please call us at 970-328-DOGS if you are interested in volunteering. We love to have people come in to socialize our cats and walk and socialize the dogs. Come see us!!
