My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

#A5742913 Zeek is a 1-year-old neutered male Terrier mix with striking tricolor markings of white, gray, and tan. Weighing 66 lbs (and currently a bit underweight), Zeek came in as a stray. He is a handsome, energetic young dog who’s likely still growing and will benefit from putting on a few healthy pounds. He’s bouncy, vocal, and full of life — a true puppy at heart who’s ready to learn and thrive with the right guidance.

Zeek is super friendly and eager to engage, but he’s still figuring out his manners. He pulls on leash, has lots of energy, and will need an experienced, patient adopter who can provide structure, boundaries, and consistent training. He already knows how to sit for treats and is highly food-motivated, making him a great blank slate for learning. With exercise, training, and leadership, Zeek will grow into an incredible companion for someone who enjoys an active, hands-on relationship.

More about this rescue

United Hope for Animals is a 501c3 non-profit organization committed to creating a world where our relationship with animals is guided by compassion and responsibility. We actively work toward bringing an end to the needless suffering of companion animals through community-based programs here at home and across the border.

The United States euthanizes more than one million dogs and cats each year. Through our Shelter Support Program, we work in partnership with local shelters to reduce this number by raising public awareness about shelter adoption and facilitating rescue and adoption of sheltered animals. In the process, we bring dignity and hope to the many lives that would otherwise pass anonymously through the animal control system.
