Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Jessie J!
Looking for a feline friend with a heart full of love and a soft, soulful personality? Meet Jessie J, a beautiful 6-year-old sweetheart who’s ready to find her forever stage: your home! Much like her famous namesake, Jessie J has a quiet charm that captures hearts without needing to steal the spotlight. She’s a lovely girl who enjoys gentle affection, cozy naps, and the company of kind, patient humans who appreciate her tender nature.
At first, Jessie J can be a bit on the shy side. She prefers to take her time getting to know new people. But once she feels safe and comfortable, her affectionate side shines through. She’ll happily curl up beside you, purring contentedly as she soaks up your love. Jessie J is the kind of cat who will reward your patience with deep trust and endless companionship.
Whether she’s lounging in a sunny window or quietly keeping you company while you unwind, Jessie J brings calm and comfort wherever she goes. She would do best in a peaceful home where she can blossom at her own pace and enjoy the simple joys of being loved.
If you’re ready to open your heart and home to this gentle soul, come meet Jessie J at the Humane Society of Summit County, located at 752 West Portage Trail, Akron, OH 44313. She’s waiting to meet her perfect match. Could it be you?

All of our adoptable animals are up-to-date on all age appropriate vaccinations, spayed or neutered, de-wormed, de-flea and microchipped before adoptions are finalized. All dogs over six months of age receive a temperament assessment by our Certified Professional Dog Trainer to ensure appropriate placement. Also, many animals in our care receive basic obedience training to improve manners and increase adoptability.
We are currently doing adoptions by appointment only. Please contact us by phone at (234) 212-9843 or email at adoptions@summithumane.org, and an adoption counselor will return your message. They will review our adoption process, answer any questions, and tell you more about the animals currently available for adoption at our shelter and in our foster program. If we have a match for you and your family, an appointment will be scheduled to meet the animal.
Additional questions can be directed to our adoption team at (234) 212-9843.

More about this shelter
Since 1968, the Humane Society of Summit County (HSSC) has been the trusted caretaker and advocate for Summit County’s victims of animal abuse, neglect, and abandonment and stray animals suffering from illness and injury. We employ two full-time Humane Officers who respond to emergency calls, investigate animal cruelty, and, as warranted, prosecute offenders. We protect and care for our community’s abused, discarded, and forgotten animals. We strive every day to rehabilitate our rescued animals, find them great homes, and provide them with bright futures.
