My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

🐾 Sour Dough is looking for a barn home! 🐾

Sour Dough came from a managed colony where we have been actively doing TNR. She has been in foster care since 11/15/25, and despite our best efforts to help her transition into an indoor pet, it’s clear that indoor life is not where she feels happiest.

Prior to entering foster care, Sour Dough was friendly and affectionate with her colony caretaker and nearby residents. She does well with other cats and is very submissive, making her a great candidate for a barn or working-cat environment with proper acclimation.

Sour Dough will leave us:
✔️ Spayed
✔️ Vaccinated
✔️ Combo tested
✔️ Ear tipped
✔️ On flea & tick prevention
✔️ microchipped

She is approximately 1.5 years old and will need a barn home that is committed to a slow, proper acclimation process to help her settle in safely and successfully.

If you have a suitable barn home or would like more information about giving Sour Dough the environment where she can truly thrive, please reach out ❤️

More about this rescue

Rescue Pets Inc. is a volunteer run, foster based pet rescue. We strive to rescue, rehabilitate; and when they're ready, our pets are rehomed to their perfect forever family.
After years working in animal rescue (each with various organizations), we are determined to pave the way with what we believe is a new kind of rescue.
What is a "new kind of rescue" ? To us, rescue should not be motivated by money. All of our members are volunteers. This means that all donations go directly to the animals, not paying any form of salary!
We firmly believe that rescues should be honest, passionate, and friendly! We strive to make personal and meaningful connections with our community and continue to build upon those relationships.
Our pets are not just animals to us, they become part of our family! We look forward to expanding our family as we love updates and staying connected!
