My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Kimmie was saved the day before she was scheduled to be euthanized at a crowded high-kill shelter, where she arrived with an unknown history. By the time WARF accepted her, after three weeks in the shelter, Kimmie had lost a shocking 15 pounds of weight. At the sanctuary, she still refused to eat and brightened up only when she could be around people. Kimmie continued to lose weight and appeared dangerously depressed until a foster home was found, and she has finally begun to regain her health and vitality. Even now, Kimmie goes to the front door regularly to peer out and appears to be searching for someone. We believe that Kimmie lost her family for an unknown reason, and with all of the loyalty that German Shepherds are known for, she continues to look for them. She is friendly to everyone, good with cats and other dogs, doesn't bark, walks nicely on leash, is housetrained and in general a joy to be around. Could you be Kimmie's next great love? Please give this wonderful dog a second chance. She is waiting for you! Call Sam 775-338-6631 or complete an online adoption application.December 30, 2025, 6:36 pm
