My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

MEET LADY BUG! Currently in foster - will be back for meets 1/2!

Lady bug may look like your typical shepherd, but with short little legs she only stands about half as tall as your average german shepherd dog. What she lacks in height, she makes up for her in her larger than life personality. This sweet and silly girl is potty trained and has lived in a traditional home where her family loved her very much. Unfortunatley, due to allergies they had to make the difficult decision to surrender her to a shelter. This isn`t Lady Bug`s first time being adoptable in a shelter either, she was originally adopted after being found as a stray in Texas! This girl has been through so much change in her short life, so she is looking for stability and a low-traffic home without other pets where she can be pampered like she deserves!

My friends describe me as: Expressive, Affectionate, Curious

Lady Bug is currently up to date on all vaccinations, has been spayed/neutered, microchipped and seen by our vet team.

More about this shelter

Pets are family. This belief is at the heart of everything we do at the Animal Rescue League of Boston.

We are the first female-founded animal welfare organization in Massachusetts and are proud to carry on a legacy of kindness and compassion, helping more than 20,000 animals annually since 1899.

Recognized for our innovative, award-winning programs that go beyond sheltering, we address the root causes of the issues facing animals and the people who love them.

By partnering with communities, we help animals heal and thrive, keep pets and people together, and protect animals from harm.

Because there is no government funding for this important work, animals must rely on people like you to get the care they need, when they need it most, 365 days a year.
