Meet Flora – A Gentle, Easygoing Soul Ready for Her Forever Home
Flora’s journey hasn’t been an easy one, but her heart remains soft and full of love. She came to us at just one year old after being discarded by a backyard breeder who sold her puppies at a flea market and didn’t want to keep her once she had raised a litter of ten.
When Flora first arrived, she was timid and scared, unsure of the world around her. With patience, kindness, and time, she slowly blossomed into the sweet, calm girl she is today. After a previous adoption ended through no fault of her own—her adopters lost their home and returned her nearly a year later—Flora has remained with her foster for several years. Now, we are finally giving her the chance she truly deserves: a forever home.
Flora is an exceptionally easy dog to live with. She sleeps inside at night, spends her days peacefully out with the pack, and gets along beautifully with all other dogs. She is not a jumper, is very respectful, and happily goes to her bed when asked. She may sit for a treat now and then, but her real strength is her calm, cooperative nature.
She weighs about 45 pounds, is healthy, and has a wonderful love for water. Digging is one of her favorite pastimes, but she has never tried to escape and is content staying close to home. Flora is steady, gentle, and low-drama—a truly serene presence.
If you’re looking for a sweet, well-mannered companion who has already done her growing and learning, Flora may be the perfect match. She has waited a long time for stability, and she is more than ready to give her heart to the right family.
