My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Josie, the curious and affectionate girl who's looking for her forever home! This gorgeous German Shepherd is a real catch, with her smarts, quiet nature, and friendly personality. She's the whole package, and she's ready to explore the world with you. Josie is a real people-person, always up for a good time and a good belly rub. She's also super curious and loves to sniff out new adventures. Josie is a real sweetheart who will give you her undivided attention and loyalty. She's the perfect companion for walks and hikes, as she loves to explore and take in all the exciting smells the world has to offer. With her medium energy levels, she's always up for a good time but also knows how to relax and unwind. Josie is also crate-trained, making her the perfect guest when you need some alone time. This girl is a real catch for any GSD lover, and she's just waiting for that special someone to show her some love. She's an adult, so you don't have to worry about those puppy antics, and she's happy to be the only dog in your life, demanding all the attention for herself. Josie is a real stunner, and with her lean figure, she's sure to turn heads. She just needs some TLC to help her gain a little weight and build muscle. If you're looking for a loyal and loving companion to join you on all your adventures, Josie is the one! While friendly, she would probably do best in a home with children 14+. Additionally, she has not yet been fully cat tested. Prior to going home, she will be spayed.

**This dog is cross-posted with DASH and is not in DASH's care. We are working with Mona's organization to help with exposure and placement.

More about this rescue

Our mission is to find safe and loving forever homes for dogs (and other animals) who have been abused, neglected, or unwanted. With shelters at or over capacity throughout our region, our experienced and dedicated group of volunteers are committed to:

Collaborating with other rescues to help ensure that the dog that would be left behind at a kill shelter won't be.

Offering rehoming options before pets are abandoned at kill shelters.

Providing necessary medical and behavioral interventions for dogs we rescue.

Contributing to efforts to address dog overpopulation by ensuring that dogs we rescue are spayed/neutered.

Providing educational resources to communities with chronic overpopulation issues.

Mentoring the next generation of volunteers who will be committed and skilled at improving outcomes for dogs (and other animals) who have been abused, neglected, or unwanted.
