Max is a young male Lab/Hound mix, born around August 2025, and he has truly grown into a wonderful all-around pup. He’s the perfect balance of playful and chill — happy to romp around with other dogs and just as content to curl up afterward for some quality snuggle time.
When Max first came to his foster home, he was a bit unsure around people and preferred the company of other dogs. With patience and love, he’s really blossomed! Now he greets his people with full-body wiggles and a wagging tail, and he happily seeks out affection and cuddles. Watching his confidence grow has been such a joy.
Max is doing fantastic with his manners and is considered house trained — no accidents in the house for over three weeks! He sleeps peacefully in his crate at night and when his humans are away, making him an easy fit for a variety of households.
He’s a smart, eager-to-learn pup who has already made great progress with training and will continue to thrive with consistency and positive reinforcement. Max will thrive in a home with another social dog.

The adoption fee of $400 will include spay/neuter, microchip, age appropriate/required vaccinations, treatment for heartworm and any other necessary medical treatment to assure a healthy new pup for your family. IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER: Although we do our best to describe breed, since our pups all come from shelters we can not and will not make any guarantee on breed or size. We can tell you that they are 100% RESCUED! And that is the BEST breed!
*please note that we are a foster home based rescue and we do home visits as part of the adoption process - we are unable to adopt to families who live outside of the Chicago and surrounding suburbs. Thank you for your understanding.
