Sunny is an adorable disabled bearded dragon. She was sadly not properly cared for in her first home, causing her to develop metabolic bone disease (MBD) which caused her front legs to become deformed. She cannot extend her front legs and must walk on her elbows instead of her feet. She cannot run or climb as well as a regular beardie. Otherwise, she is no different from any other beardie. Thankfully, we were able to get her before her MBD progressed. She is now on proper supplements and has UV, which will stop the MBD from worsening, but her legs will never return to normal. She is also smaller than a typical beardie due to the neglect from her first home. Despite this Sunny is energetic and happy. She loves to climb, soak, bask, and hunt for bugs. She’s good about eating her greens. Her exact age is unknown, but she is about 1-3 years old. The vet says she is otherwise healthy and should live a long, full life as long as she is properly cared for. She is squirmy when you hold her, but has never bitten.
