Willy and Maxine are rambunctious, affectionate kittens looking for a home full of energy and love.
Maxine is a smart, adventurous girl with an amazing purr. Behind her striking eyes, you can see her inquisitive mind puzzling out the world around her. She is the first of her littermates to figure out any new toy or activity. Maxine takes her training as an apex predator (of toy mice) very seriously. She would love to find a home where her and Will get plenty of enrichment.
Maxine loves her humans and when she's tired, she's very good at cuddling. Her purr brings a lot of joy to her foster parents.
Willy is a high energy kitten. If he's awake, he is constantly busy. When he and Maxine get the zoomies, it is constant entertainment. They would love a family that will give them plenty of interactive play
Willy's favorite activity is sitting on a human's shoulder and playing, so he will do best in a home where the humans are relaxed about a little extra "hairdressing" assistance. His foster mom thinks it's worth a little tangle to have him fall asleep cuddled on her neck
Willy came to Pet Haven with a damaged left eye and it was removed very soon after. Will is completely recovered and fully adjusted. His missing eye doesn't slow him down in the slightest.
Maxine will be spayed and this pair can go to their forever home the last week of January.

All cats have received comprehensive veterinary care and tested negative for feline leukemia and FIV unless otherwise stated. Cats are up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations and have been spayed/neutered, treated for fleas and/or ear mites, de-wormed, and microchipped. Please note there may be additional follow-up visits.

What We Do
We help dogs and cats find homes with loving families through foster-based care. Every dog and cat lives with a foster family until they find their forever families. We provide all of their basic needs including proper food, veterinary care, behavior training, and supplies.
Through in-home fostering, we learn about each animal’s temperament, personality, likes/dislikes, and any medical needs. With this first-hand information, we can then find the right family for each dog and cat.
Our volunteers also educate the public on responsible companion animal care and represent respect for animals at all times. Whether we’re working with prospective new families, meeting people at public events, or socializing with friends and family, we encourage others to view and treat their pets as members of the family. We are their guardians, and they depend on us for companionship and care.
We spay/neuter prior to adoption.
We microchip all our Pet Haven Pets and remain as a secondary contact.
We make sure all pets are up to date on required vaccinations
We test for Heartworm and Lymes in all our dogs and are transparent in the results and treament
We test for FeLV/FIV and are transparent in the results. We believe that cats who test positive still deserve a chance at a quality home.
We do not euthanize animals unless they have untreatable health or behavioral conditions that deny them an acceptable quality of life or makes them a serious threat to people, other animals, or themselves.
How We Operate
We rely on adoption fees, tax-deductible donations, grants, and special events to keep our rescue operating. Our staff, Board of Directors, and volunteers have provided the passion and commitment to keep Pet Haven a safe haven for animals for almost 70 years.
We are committed to preventing pet homelessness through the SNIP Grant. Since 2005, we have granted more than $240,000 to organizations in Minnesota to support spay/neuter initiatives.
