My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Chip is a sweet boy with a playful personality. He can be shy at first and may bark when he’s unsure, especially around other dogs, but he responds well to a calm, soft voice and gentle reassurance. He`s leash trained and has good house manners — he will softly whine to let you know when he needs to go outside. He loves to run, play fetch and will entertain himself by tossing a toy into the air and trying to catch it. He does great with structure/boundaries. He understands that furniture is off-limits, except for his very own recliner chair, which serves as his safe, cozy spot. Chip will thrive best in a home with a fenced-in backyard, where he can safely run, play, and burn off energy. With patient, consistent guidance, Chip will be a loyal, affectionate companion who just needs a little time to feel secure. 11 mos as of Jan 1. Neuter, vaccines, microchip provided. 31 lb

More about this rescue

Homeward Bound Pet Rescue was founded by a team of volunteers with many years of experience in pet rescue. With over 20,000 companion animals being euthanized each year in the Midlands of SC, our goal is to save as many as possible from this dreadful fate. Rescue is expensive, so your help is needed in order for us to save lives. Each pet receives prompt medical attention, is spayed/neutered, fully vaccinated and microchipped before being adopted into a loving home. Medical care is our main expense. We also must purchase microchips, heartworm and flea preventions, food and many other supplies. We are an ethical group of volunteers who promises to use every penny for the rescue, care and adoption of pets in need. All donations are tax deductible. No Paid Staff!! Click our PAYPAL link below or mail your check to PO Box 4335, Irmo, SC 29063 THANK YOU!!!
