Meet Kali!

Kali is an absolute sweetheart with a story of survival and hope. Rescued from the shelter moments before she was scheduled to be euthanized, this brave girl has blossomed into a loving, playful soul.

Kali spent much of her early life on the streets, so every soft bed, every toy, and every gentle touch is still a treasure to her. She's learned that life is full of joy—and her favorite way to show it is by grabbing a toy, wiggling her whole body, tucking her butt, and spinning in happy circles when you come home. Good luck getting pets in at first—the wiggle-butt excitement is real!

She absolutely adores people and wants nothing more than to make you proud. A firm but gentle "no" is all she needs—her sensitive spirit picks up quickly, and she’s genuinely upset if she thinks she’s let you down. Harsh tones make her nervous, so she thrives best in a patient, kind-hearted home.

Kali enjoys the company of other dogs after slow introductions and is fully kennel, leash, and potty trained. You might hear a silly snort noise when she’s rolling around and letting loose—it’s just Kali being her goofy self!

At the end of the day, Kali’s favorite place is snuggled up beside you, soaking in all the love she’s waited so long to find. She truly is a gem, bursting with affection and loyalty, just waiting for someone special to love her back as much as she loves them.

Their adoption process

Submit Application

To start your adoption process, please complete our online application.

2.
Interview

A volunteer will contact you by email or phone to discuss your application and whether a specific pet is a good fit for your home.

3.
Home Check

Home visits are done virtually using a video app or FaceTime.

4.
Meet the Pet

Local adopters can arrange in-person meet and greets, while out-of-state adopters can meet virtually via FaceTime.

5.
Sign Adoption Contract

Once approved, your adoption contract and payment link will be sent to you electronically.

6.
Take the Pet Home

For our out of state adopters, transport will be arranged once adopted.

Additional adoption info

Our adoption process starts with an application for meet and greets and adoption consideration. Applicants complete phone interviews, background checks, provide vet and personal references, and finish with a virtual home visit to ensure a good fit.
