My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, my name is Biggie and I am one of the goofiest, floppiest kittens you will ever meet! I have zero bones and endless amounts of joy and energy. I love flopping next to my humans for tummy rubs or sitting in your lap so I can play with the strings of your sweatshirt. My favorite toy is my tail - sometimes I chase it for so long that I throw up... oops. I'm also very protective of my little sister Smalls. She's much shyer than I am, so it's my job to keep her safe (and also to beat up on her sometimes). We get along really well, though I've been told I can allegedly get a little jealous of her when she's getting attention and butt my way in so I can have it instead. I hope we go to a home with cat-savvy humans who have the time and energy to give me the attention I need to get out all my wiggles, but also can be patient and gentle with my little sister.

💕Biggie and Smalls are a bonded pair and must go home together! They would do best in a home with children over 6. #bondedpair

Our adoption process is a walk-up, first-come, first-served system. You will have a meet and greet with an Adoption Counselor to discuss your survey, review information on the pets you would like to meet, and you will be introduced to the pet(s).If the Meet and Greet is a success, staff will complete your adoption paperwork to make it official! More about this shelter

Kitsap Humane Society is a private, nonprofit animal shelter. We rescue and rehome over 6000 pets each year. Every dog or cat leaves our shelter spayed or neutered and with complete vaccines and a microchip. We have been caring for animals in need since 1908 and envision a time when all adoptable pets have loving homes.

We are extremely proud of our exceptionally high “lives saved” rate of over 96%. Through our active adoption, behavior, foster, transfer, and veterinary programs, we are able to rehome every adoptable animal that enters our facility. No animal is ever euthanized for lack of space.

In addition to caring for and adopting animals, we also provide spay/neuter services to low income residents of Kitsap County, and provide Animal Rescue and Enforcement services to our surrounding municipalities.
